Professor of Physical Volcanology at the University of LeedsDegree in Physics from Karlsruhe University, Germany, PhD in Physics on "Earth Core Resonance", worked on inversion of gravity data, on earth tides, and long wavelength features of the core-mantle boundary (CMB). Post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Colorado, Boulder, USA; seismological investigation of the lowermost mantle and the CMB. Lectureship at Gadjah Mada University, Yogya, Indonesia; study of seismo-volcanic signals. Has been in Leeds since September 1991
Prof. Neuberg is also chairman of the Working Group 'Seismic Phenomena Associated With Volcanic Activity' of the European Seismological Commission (ESC) and a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee for the British Government on volcanic activity in Montserrat, West Indies.
